As we approach the end of another remarkable year, I am thrilled to reflect on our achievements and express my gratitude for the private healthcare sector's continued support and dedication.
This year has been particularly significant for us. We successfully completed the Bronze Delivery milestone of the Private Healthcare Market Investigation Order, a remarkable testament to the incredible dedication and expertise of our team and the entire healthcare sector. The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has recognised our efforts, and their open letter to the sector underscores the importance of our work and the progress we have made.
Our AGM went very well, showcasing the great strides we have made this year and outlining our ambitious plans for the future, including reaching the Silver milestone next year. If you haven't already, I encourage you to read this year's Annual Progress Review, which details just how far we have come as an organisation.
We also refreshed our website's homepage as part of our 'Year of the Patient' initiative, making it clearer who we are and how we can help patients. This was a collaborative effort, and I extend my deepest thanks to everyone involved. Patients will continue to remain the centre to our delivery with continuity from the ‘Year of the Patient’ into 2025, and I recommend you also read our reports on: patient priorities, robotic-assisted surgery and weight loss surgery.
Our members' unwavering support has been the cornerstone of our success. As we look forward to the new year, we are more committed than ever to our mission to 'Serve patients, Support Stakeholders and Deliver the Order'. We will continue to work closely with all our members and stakeholders to achieve our goals and make a positive impact on the healthcare sector.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas, joyful festive season and a prosperous New Year.
Warm regards,
Ian Gargan
