Dr Tony Hammond

Born and educated in Edinburgh, then trained in internal medicine and Rheumatology in Bristol, Bath and London including the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases, The Royal Postgraduate Medical School and St Bart's Hospital. He was awarded a doctorate (MD) in the immunology of SLE in 1992 and appointed Consultant Physician and Rheumatologist at Maidstone Hospital (subsequently Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust) where he founded the Rheumatology department building this to 3 consultants, 2 Nurse specialists and research nurses. He became part time NHS in 2011 to assist in the founding of the Kent Institute (KIMS Hospital) Maidstone. He is now mainly in private practice in London at The London Clinic, The London Spine Clinic 116 Harley St,  London Medical and The Oving Clinic West Sussex

Dr Hammond is currently mainly deployed in Covid relief in NHS Hospitals. He accepts private patients at London Spine Clinic, 116 Harley St,  The London Clinic and London Medical, Marylebone High St, London for self pay and certain insurers. Consultations may also be arranged through the Top Doctors online platform.
