Ms Sunita Saha

Miss Sunita Saha was appointed as a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in 2016 Colchester Hospital after completing her specialist surgery training in breast and general surgery. She specialises in the diagnosis and management of benign and malignant breast diseases and is passionate about providing high quality and compassionate care. In collaboration with an expert multidisciplinary team of imaging, pathology, cancer nurse and oncology specialists, Miss Saha guides and supports her patients through their treatment. She performs an wide range of operative procedures for the management of breast cancer employing an oncoplastic approach to achieve optimal aesthetic outcomes. These include wide local excision, mastectomy, implant reconstruction and axillary surgery as well as mammoplasty for removing cancers and symmetrisation operations. Miss Saha completed her undergraduate medical training at Barts & The Royal London medical school and went on to conclude her postgraduate surgical training in the North-East Thames, London region. She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2014 and was awarded a Masters degree in oncoplastic breast surgery in 2016. Being an avid surgical trainer, she has undertaken a Post-Graduate Certificate in Medical Education and oversees post-graduate surgical training as the Royal College of Surgeons surgical tutor at Colchester Hospital. She also has a keen interest in research and is actively involved in recruitment to surgical and oncological research trials and contributes to national audits.
