GMC reg: 3168147I was appointed Consultant Neurologist at The National Hospitals for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square in April 2013. Prior to that, I was Consultant Neurologist at King’s College Hospital NHS Trust, London and Medway Maritime NHS Trust since 1997. I was also Visiting Senior Lecturer to Guys, Kings and St Thomas’ Hospitals School of Medicine. After qualification from University College Hospital School of Medicine, University of London, I underwent postgraduate medical training at The Royal Free Hospital and The National Hospital for Nervous Diseases, Queen Square. I was awarded the degree of Doctorate in Medicine after conducting research on pain and nerve regeneration at University College London. I am now Consultant Neurologist in the Pain Management Unit at The National Hospitals for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square. While at Kings College Hospital, I was Consultant Neurologist to the Headache clinic as well as The Pain Relief Unit. I have specialist interest in managing patients with Headaches, Facial and Nerve Damage Pain. I have co-authored papers and chapters in books on these subjects. I was on the NICE Guideline Development Group for Management of Headaches published in 2012 and for Neuropathic Pain published in 2013. I continue to be Specialist Advisor to The Parliamentary Ombudsman for Health.
