Professor Stephen Till

Professor Till is a Consultant in Adult Allergy at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London and a Professor of Allergy at King’s College London Medical School. He held a scholarship at Oxford University before completing a PhD in Allergy at Imperial College and qualifying as a doctor from University College London. After completing higher specialist training at the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust he was appointed in 2011 as Senior Lecturer and Consultant at King’s College London and it’s associated teaching hospital Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. He was appointed Professor of Allergy in 2018. Professor Till combines NHS practice – where he leads the adult food allergy clinic – with research, teaching and supervising PhD students. He conducts research in the areas of immunotherapy and food allergy and has been published his findings over a 20 year period. In 2009 he received the World Allergy Organization Henning Lowenstein Award for Research in Allergy. He has received research funding over many years from the Medical Research Council, the National Institute for Heath Research and the US National Institutes for Health. He undertakes private practice in Adult Allergy at London Bridge Hospital. He is on the editorial board of several journals and is an elected member of the Collegium Internationale Allergologicum. Professor Till is a past Secretary of the British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
