GMC reg: 3497407Fees, Training & Background: Paddy Stone is the Professor in Palliative Medicine at University College London (UCL). He was educated at Wimbledon College, Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge and St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London. He qualified in 1990. He took up his first consultant appointment (at St George’s Hospital) in 2001. In 2014 he was appointed as the head of the Marie Curie Palliative Care Research Department at UCL and an honorary consultant at UCLH. His research interests include the mechanisms and management of cancer-related fatigue, prognosis of advanced cancer and quality of life and symptom assessment. Prof Stone primarily sees outpatients at Nuffield Cancer Centre London (First consultation self-pay rate £350; Follow-up consultation self-pay rate £175) Prof Stone also sees patients who have been admitted to Nuffield Parkside Hospital for pain and symptom control advice. These patients are usually under the care of another consultant and have been referred for specialist palliative care advice.
