Overview: Professor Heidari has devoted his professional life to the betterment of bone infection, limb reconstruction, and specifically, foot and ankle care. Since 2012, as a member of The Royal London Hospital’s consultant team, he played an instrumental role in the development of the Foot and Ankle Unit, the Bone Infection Unit, and the Orthoplastics Department. Education & Training: Earned his medical degree from St George’s Hospital in 1998. Pursued orthopaedic and trauma training at The Royal London Hospital. Was honoured to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2009. Further honed his skills at the Bristol Limb Reconstruction Unit in 2011, focusing on foot and ankle pathology, trauma, and lower limb reconstruction. Additionally, he’s been involved in several National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) studies at The Royal London Hospital. Teaching & Mentorship: With a sincere desire to guide the next generation, Professor Heidari shares his accumulated knowledge with budding surgeons at The Royal London Hospital. While he finds time to conduct courses throughout the UK and Europe, he genuinely enjoys the process of teaching and learning alongside his students. His consistent involvement over the past seven years with the AO Advanced Foot Course, where he’s had the opportunity to oversee its evolution into a hybrid format, showcases his commitment to education. By thoughtfully integrating technology, he aims to enrich the learning journey for all involved.
