Professor Ludvic Zrinzo

Ludvic Zrinzo is Professor of Neurosurgery and Head of the UCL Functional Neurosurgery Unit at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London, UK. He pursued undergraduate studies at the University of Malta and postgraduate studies at UCL, London where he was awarded MSc in Clinical Neuroscience (Distinction) and a PhD in Neurosurgery. He completed neurosurgical training and two specialist fellowships in London and at UCLA, Los Angeles. Prof Zrinzo specialises in stereotactic neurosurgery and surgery on the cranial nerves. His major interest is the delivery of safe and effective interventions for movement, headache and mental disorders. He has published over 300 scientific papers with over 8,000 citations, has conducted numerous clinical trials and is Director on an International Course on MRI-Verified Functional Neurosurgery. He has received several national and international awards for his work and also serves as Visiting Consultant Neurosurgeon to the Maltese islands.
