Gastroenterology in adults and children with special interest in endoscopy and interventional endoscopy In recent years she has successfully developed a research scheme for IBS and food allergy/sensitivities and is now seeing many IBS patients. She published the research in IBS and atypical food allergy in the esteemed journal "Gastroenterology". In 2015 and 2020, these were awarded with the Ray Clouse prize for the best research publication in neurogastroenterology by the Rome Foundation. In 2018 she was awarded with the "German Endoscopy award" of the German Society of Gastroenterology as the first female in this field.
