GMC reg: 4186487Professor Alexander Bennett is a Consultant Rheumatologist, clinical academic and Visiting Professor at Imperial College London. He has a keen interest in research as well as clinical aspects of rheumatology and sports medicine. He has published widely, in particular in the fields of early diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of seronegative inflammatory arthritis/ spondyloarthritis/ ankylosing spondylitis, in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, and in sports and exercise medicine. He lectures regularly at national and international rheumatology and sports medicine conferences. He is the secretary of the British Society of Spondyloarthritis and a leading clinician in the field of spondyloarthritis in the UK and internationally.
Professional interests Prof Bennett's particular clinical interests are inflammatory arthritis including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis/spondyloarthritis, back pain, osteoporosis, gout and sports and exercise medicine.
