GMC reg: 3351170Professor Daubeney MA DM FRCP FRCPCH DCH. Having qualified at Oxford and St Thomas's Hospital, he went on to train in paediatric cardiology in Southampton, Melbourne and Toronto. In 1999 he was appointed as consultant in paediatric and fetal cardiology at the Royal Brompton and Chelsea & Westminster Hospitals. He was recommended as one of the top 250 private doctors in the Tatler guide. His clinical expertise is the care of infants, children and teenagers with all forms of heart disease as well as in the unborn child.
Paediatric cardiology
Professor Daubeney treats a wide range of cardiological conditions in infants, children, adolescents and young adults including: • Heart murmurs- ECG and echocardiographic evaluation • Congenital heart disease - both paediatric and adult congenital. He uses the latest diagnostic techniques to evaluate and manage structural and functional heart problems including valve and coronary disease • Acquired heart disease such as Kawasaki disease, myocarditis and cardiomyopathy • Arrhythmias- investigation and management • Generalised diseases requiring cardiac monitoring such as Marfan, Ehlers Danlos, Noonan syndromes, and muscular dystrophies • Hypertension- investigation and management • Cardiac surgery- joint management and close liaison with selected cardiac surgeons- expertise in all types of congenital and acquired heart surgery in babies, children, teenagers and young adults • Catheter intervention- joint management and close liaison with selected catheter interventionalists- expertise in all types of congenital and acquired cardiac intervention in babies, children, teenagers and young adults.
