Professor Prof Mark Davenport

I am a NHS Consultant Paediatric Surgeon at Kings College Hospital since 1994. with a practice in general surgery of childhood, specialised neonatal surgery and specialised hepatobiliary surgery. I was awarded a Professor of Paediatric Surgery chair by Kings College, London in 2008 and have a major academic interest with the publication of two handbooks in paediatric surgery, a textbook on operative paediatric surgery and a definitive textbook on paediatric hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery. I am also the Editor for the UK and Ireland for the Journal of Pediatric Surgery. I was the President of the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons (2016 -2018) and am still the web master and research committee member. I see new and follow up private patients at the Guthrie Clinic, Kings College Hospital and the Chelsfield Park. The usual consultations in the latter clinic would be for undescended testes, inguinal and umbilical hernias, foreskin conditions and lumps and bumps of the skin and subcutaneous tissue.
