Professor Prof Guy Lloyd

Professor Guy Lloyd is a Consultant Cardiologist based at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, the Cleveland Clinic London in London and Eastbourne in Sussex. He qualified from Guy's and St Thomas' in 1991, underwent training in cardiology in the same hospitals and was appointed and consultant in Eastbourne in 2002. He was recruited to establish the echo lab and the new Barts Heart Centre in 2015 which is the largest lab in the UK, he also supervises the service at University College Hospitals, London. Guy has a specialist interest in heart valve disease, pioneering the concept of heart valve follow up clinics in the UK. Guy has a wide academic and research interest in the field of cardiac imaging and heart valve disease with a broad range of projects on the go including in collaboration with the British Heart Foundation. He is a past President of the British Society of Echocardiography, one of the founding council of the British Heat Valve Society, he is past Honorary Secretary of the British Cardiovascular Society.  Guy joined the Cleveland Clinic London in 2021 because of its huge international reputation in the field of cardiovascular medicine. He sees patients at for both primary consultation in all aspects of cardiac disease and also for specialist imaging in London and Eastbourne.
