Special clinical interests
I run clinics for both adults and children. My balance and dizziness clinics attract patients from all over the world. Based at the London Road Clinic in Leicester I have a full suite of balance investigation tools and a dedicated team of scientists and therapists to support my patients. Ear surgery (otology) clinics covering all aspects of hearing loss, tinnitus, ear infection, and ear pain with surgery ranging from grommets and Eustachian tube dilation and occlusion, through to complex mastoid surgery for cholesteatoma (of which I often undertake 3 per week), stapedectomy, BAHA, and middle ear reconstruction, and specialist balance operations including posterior canal plugging for BPPV, and intra-tympanic injections or endolymphatic sac surgery for Meniere's Disease. I am equally happy to remove the wax from your ears too! Children's clinics cover all aspects of paediatric ENT including tonsillitis, glue ear, tongue tie, nose bleeds, and blocked noses and allergy. Rhinology clinics may employ smell testing or endoscopic examination in clinic with a small camera to assess your nasal airways. Most of my patients can have their blocked noses, facial pain, allergy, or sinuses disease treated medically, but a wide variety of surgeries are also available including balloon sinuplasty. Throat and swallowing difficulties, and hoarseness are assessed on a daily basis and endoscopic examination to exclude serious illnesses can be undertaken at your first visit with a full range of additional investigations if required.
