Mr Nitesh Patel

Mr Nitesh Patel graduated from Manchester University in 1994 where he was awarded MBChB degree with honours. His basic surgical training was completed in various London hospitals leading to Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in England (FRCS) in 1999. He completed his Higher Surgical Training in ENT Surgery and was awarded the Gold Medal by the Royal Society of Medicine for 1st Rank in the National (UK) Intercollegiate examination in ENT Surgery with award of FRCS(ORL-HNS) in 2005. He has been granted Certificate of Completion of Training by the Postgraduate Medical Education Training Board (UK) and currently holds substantive NHS consultant posts at Whipps Cross University and Newham University hospitals, Barts Health NHS Trust. He has a large NHS practice treating patients with ear diseases and hearing disorders. Mr Patel has been trained and is proficient in intracapsular coblation tonsillectomy - this procedure has been shown to have less complications, pain and bleeding than standard tonsillectomy. He has a subspecialist interest in Tinnitus and works alongside dedicated audiological scientists at The Tinnitus Clinic in Harley Street and is a member of the British Tinnitus Association. He is also a member of The Meniere’s Society and has both lectured and written articles on Meniere’s disease.
