Professor Nirmal Kumar

Professor Nirmal Kumar is consultant ENT surgeon at WWL Teaching NHS Foundation Trust where he is also Associate Medical Director. Regionally, he was Training Programme Director, Health Education NW for 8 years and led the NW CRN research network for ENT in addition to being Honorary Professor at Edge Hill University Medical School. Nationally, he was President for ENT UK (2019-2022) and is now Chairman of ENT U.K. Foundation. He is FRCS (ORL) examiner of the Royal College of Surgeons, Fellow of the Academy of Medical Educators and was previously Vice Chair on the Specialist Advisory Committee for otolaryngology on the Joint Committee for Surgical Training in the UK. He is also an MD, MCh and PhD examiner for several Universities in the UK and abroad and has more than 200 peer reviewed medical publications.
