GMC reg: 6025714I am a consultant ophthalmologist with a special interest in treating adults and children with oculoplastic / eyelid and lacrimal / tear duct conditions. I also specialise in cataract surgery and emergency / urgent care ophthalmology. I have been an NHS consultant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust since 2015, working at the Western Eye Hospital in Marylebone, St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington and Charing Cross Hospital in Hammersmith. I graduated from Bristol University Medical School with Honours in my medical degree and a First Class Honours degree in Psychology, for which I was awarded a Wolfson Foundation Award. My ophthalmic training was based in London with more than two years of sub-specialist training in oculoplastic, orbital and lacrimal conditions at the University of British Colombia, Vancouver, Canada and Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. I am the Research Lead for Oculoplastics in the Imperial College Ophthalmic Research Group Clinical Trials Unit and am currently Chief Investigator for three clinical research trials. I have published numerous original research papers in high-impact factor ophthalmology journals on topics including thyroid eye disease, blepharospasm and tear duct surgery. I have a particular interest in the impact of conditions such as thyroid eye disease and watery eyes on patients’ quality of life. One of my research studies was voted the best oculoplastic paper presented at the American Academy of Ophthalmology in 2015. I have a Diploma in Medical Education and I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I am an educational and clinical supervisor to trainee ophthalmologists in my NHS practice. My hobbies are sports (running, cycling, swimming), cultural pursuits (piano, theatre, exhibitions, films) and spending time with my young daughter.
