Ms Joanne Atkins

Miss Atkins qualified from Manchester University Medical School in 1994. She went on to complete a period in research and MSc. in Surgical Science, awarded by The University of London in 2001. Miss Atkins completed specialist training in all aspects of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery on the prestigious Pan Thames London Training Scheme, entering the Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery in 2008. Miss Atkins has completed Fellowships internationally, spending a year as International Burns and Plastic Surgery Fellow at Concord Hospital, Sydney, NSW  then further as a visiting Fellow in Plastic Surgery in Marseille, France. In the UK, she completed her Aesthetic Fellowship at The London Clinic, Harley Street, as well as a Paediatric Plastic Surgery Fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Since 2011, she has been a Plastic Surgery Consultant at The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, with special interest in the care of adult and paediatric burn patients; she is current Clinical Lead for the Burns Service. Miss Atkins also undertakes General Plastic Surgery cases including wound management, body contouring and scar management including laser treatments.
