Mr Yuvraj Agrawal

Mr Yuvraj Agrawal is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. He worked as a Consultant in Orthopaedic Trauma & Lower Limb Arthroplasty at the Nottingham University Hospitals for 18 months before being appointed at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. In addition to the treatment of arthritis of hip and knee joints, his interests are failed joint replacements, joint infections and periprosthetic fractures. He is also the Lead for Quality Improvement at the trust. Mr Agrawal qualified from BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Nepal. He completed his Basic Surgical Training in Leeds and Higher Surgical Training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in Sheffield and affiliated hospitals. He undertook an advanced fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham and an Adult Joint Reconstruction Fellowship at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, gaining him further experience in managing complex trauma and complex problems of the hip and knee joints. He also has an understanding of different healthcare systems, visiting centres in India, Nepal, South Africa and the US. Mr Agrawal remains actively involved in several research projects and has been awarded academic prizes at the regional and national level. He has authored a textbook chapter and has published scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is a keen teacher and instructs on a number of national courses for medical students and trainee orthopaedic surgeons.
