Tom sees approximately 250 young adult hip new patients per year and performs around 200 hip arthroscopies (key-hole hip surgery) annually. Tom is at the forefront of surgical development and research related to young adult hip problems. He trains surgeons across the UK in hip arthroscopy and is regularly invited to give lectures both nationally, and internationally. Tom sees hip preservation surgery as one of the most exciting and quickest developing fields of modern orthopaedic surgery. In addition to his practice at the ROC, Tom works as an NHS Consultant at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, and is Clinical Director of the Trauma & Orthopaedic department.
