Mr Theodoros Valsamakis

Mr Valsamakis has 19 years of medical experience of which more than 12 years in ENT field. Following his Medical degree and his Master of Science in “International Medicine and Health Crisis Management”, he completed his training in all aspects of ENT. He undertook Fellowships in Head & Neck and Rhinology surgery in Queen`s Elizabeth Hospital NHS Trust in Glasgow between 2013-2015. Furthermore, he completed advanced Fellowship training in Paediatric airway in Birmingham`s Women`s and Children`s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 2016. He is Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow and Fellow of European Board of Head and Neck Surgery. Mr Valsamakis has been certified in cosmetic nasal surgery and cosmetic surgery of the ear under the Cosmetic Surgery Certification Scheme by the Intercollegiate Cosmetic Surgery Oversight Committee. In 2016 he was appointed to the post of ENT Consultant in the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. In his department, he is teaching and supporting the ENT trainees as a Clinical supervisor and he has currently the role of the Head of Service of the ENT Department. He is actively involved in teaching medical students, general practitioners and trainee surgeon colleagues in local and regional level. He has also been invited as a speaker to regional airway meetings and as a faculty member in regional advanced endoscopic sinus surgery courses. Swimming after a busy day, travelling with his family and listening to music keeps him going in his otherwise busy schedule.

Mr Valsamakis` practice covers all aspects of ENT disease including rhinitis, septal deviation, nasal polyposis, hearing loss, snoring, sleep apnoea, tonsillitis, branchial anomalies and drooling. Mr Valsamakis runs specialist clinics in Rhinoplasty and Children`s ENT disorders. Advanced sinus surgery is a part of his weekly practice using state of art equipment including a 3D Navigation system. Mr Valsamakis has been certified in cosmetic nasal surgery and cosmetic surgery of the ear under the Cosmetic Surgery Certification Scheme by the Intercollegiate Cosmetic Surgery Oversight Committee.
