Providing personalised care for patients, with rapid and accurate diagnosis and treatment at a time when needed are paramount to my practice as a consultant urologist. Offering experience and care with a highly skilled and a technically innovative approach and working with a responsive administrative support for patients from my practice manager Selina is key to patient satisfaction.  I trained at St.Bartholomew's Hospital and then specialised in Urology throughout London and the South of England gaining wide experience of all urological conditions and treatments. I have worked as a consultant for over 15 years. Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) is now recognised as the most effective management for men suffering with urinary symptoms or catheter problems. It is a technical challenge to train in this approach and having performed hundreds of cases and studied and developed the technique, the benefits and improvement in quality of life for men is transformational. As the clinical lead for the RAPID prostate cancer diagnostic pathway we bring rapid access to MRI scanning for men with possible prostate cancer and reduce unnecessary prostate biopsies. I introduced transperineal prostate biopsy and fusion biopsies in 2013 and have performed thousands of cases. Winner of HSJ Award for Acute Sector Innovation in collaboration with Royal Marsden, Imperial and St.George's Hospitals. I have led one of the largest and busiest kidney stone treatment units in the UK. I personally have extensive experience and offer all forms of treatment for kidney stones including holmium laser treatment, shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) and keyhole surgery for larger kidney stones (PCNL). I mentor and train urologist in various kidney stone treatments.  I was invited to chair the NHS Getting It Right First Time - Acute Stone Pathway group and published the delivery guide for NHS England and NHS Improvement in 2022. This is a national programme designed to improve the treatment and care of patients. I have a keen interest in introducing new technology for both diagnostic and treatment purposes. There is also a real need to address men's health concerns more widely and this has included my work in the role of men in miscarriage and fertility as well as sexual function and how this relates to urological and general health. I have recently published on novel sperm quality assessment in fertility and miscarriage and was invited to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists World Congress 2022 to share my approach using a combination of urological and lifestyle management to improve outcomes for couples. I am regularly on the faculty for the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) and Royal Society of Medicine for endourology skills and am an advisor for several industry colleagues for product development and testing new products.
