GMC reg: 3591583I trained as a Registrar in the prestigious Severn Deanery and then did my Fellowship training in Hip surgery in Toronto with Professor Waddell and Emil Schemitsch, followed by Professors Learmonth and Bannister in Bristol. Appointed as a Consultant in 2003 in Bristol, I specialise purely in all aspects of hip surgery and am regularly the most productive hip replacement surgeon in the city, as well as having the largest hip arthroscopy practice in the region. I have held various senior roles during my career including Education (Orthopaedic Training Programme Director for Severn; Head of the School of Surgery for Severn; Chair of the Heads of Surgical Schools nationally, CoPSS); Management (Clinical Director, Divisional Director, and over the COVID pandemic, Deputy Medical Director); and Professional Assessment (Chair of the Intercollegiate T&O Examinations Board; Trust Appraiser). I pride myself in a personal approach to each patient and prompt communications before or after any treatment.
