GMC reg: 3213676Born and educated in Germany, I came to the UK in 1988 to receive my surgical training in the West Midands. I was appointed as Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at Good Hope Hospital Sutton Colsdfield. I built up the early recal cancer sevice for the Midlands, establishing diagnostic endorectal ultrasound and expanding the existing TEMS (Transanal Endoscopic Microsurgery) service. We now perform around 80 TEMS procedures a year. I cpontinue to perform laparoscopic cholcystectomies regularly - around 50 procedures a year. I developed laparoscopic colorectal surgery at Good Hope Hospital and have trained other surgeons within the Birmingham area.
