He was appointed Consultant in West Wales in 2017, and in Exeter in 2019 after undertaking sub-specialty fellowship training in Oculoplastic and Orbital surgery. He is a very experienced cataract surgeon, as well as oculoplastic and glaucoma surgery. Sam has pioneered new approaches to cataract surgery including "see and treat" services which increase convenience for patients. He has also developed devices to improve the comfort and safety of intravitreal injections. Sam now concentrates on providing high quality, convenient and excellent value general Ophthalmic and cataract services for his private patients in West Wales and Devon.
