GMC reg: 2653730I qualified as a doctor from Charing Cross Hospital Medical School in 1980. I served in the Armed Services as a doctor until 1986. I commenced Orthopaedic training in West London in 1987 based at St Mary's Hospital. During this time a undertook a one year Senior Resident post at Massachusetts General Hospital and a one year Fellowship in Perth, Western Australia. I was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 1995. During my Consultant career I developed the Hip Arthroplasty Service and have performed more than 5,000 Primary Hip and Knee Replacements. I was Clinical Director on three separate occasions and was also the Clinical Lead for the Leicester Bone and Tissue Bank. I retired from NHS Clinical Practice in 2017. I continue clinical practice in the Independant Sector and also work as a Medical Examiner for University Hospitals of Leicester.
