Mr Pete Gallacher

Pete undertook his specialist orthopaedic training on the highly regarded Oswestry training programme during which he developed a sub specialist interest in surgery around the knee. He was fortunate enough to train under Dai Rees and the sports injuries team in Oswestry in addition to the knee specialists in both Stoke on Trent and Oswestry. Throughout his training he published papers on general orthopaedics and on specialist knee topics. Following completion of his specialist training he underwent fellowship knee training in Sheffield England and undertook a travelling fellowship supported by the British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK) in Europe visiting centres of excellence in knee surgery. He now holds a Consultant appointment as a Knee and Sports Knee Specialist at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital as part of the sports injuries team and trauma orthopaedic surgery at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. His private practice covers the breadth of knee surgery from paediatric sports and cartilage issues, adolescent and adult knee sports injuries reconstruction and joint preservation with osteotomy and cartilage regeneration through to the treatment of degenerative conditions with partial and total replacement.
