Professor Owen Judd

Professor Owen Judd BMedSci(Hons) BM BS MRCP(Glas) FRCS(Ed) FRCS(ORL-HNS) FRSA PGDipClinEd DCH Professor Owen Judd is Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon at the Royal Derby Hospital (ITV?s ?Superhospital?). He qualified from the University of Nottingham in 1998 and went on to train as a Surgeon. His special interests in the NHS are Neurotology (Brain and Inner Ear disorders) and Laryngology (voice disorders). He is an expert on facial pain and migraine along with facial paralysis/weakness. He performs complex surgical procedures including groundbreaking minimally invasive endoscopic ear surgery that is only practiced by a handful of expert surgeons in the UK. In the private sector Prof. Judd has developed a leading practice in balance disorders, dizziness, voice disorders and cosmetic ear surgery and has a vast experience of facial aesthetics and injectables. He has practiced privately for Sk;n clinics in Leicester and Nottingham since 2008. His research interests include facial aesthetics, migraine, balance problems and voice disorders and he has published over 50 scientific papers and two text books. He teaches many medical students and junior doctors and holds an honorary academic position with the University of Nottingham as well as the prestigious international BMJ Visiting Professorship in Balance Medicine.
