Mr Oussama Elhage

Oussama Elhage is a consultant urological surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. He completed his urological training in London and has joined the leading urology team at Guy's Hospital providing advanced prostate cancer services. Oussama provides prostate diagnostic and treatment services at Harley Street and The London Clinic

Oussama introduced the revolutionary technique of “freehand” transperineal prostate biopsy in an outpatient setting. He is highly skilled in the precision diagnostics used in prostate cancer evaluation - transperineal prostate biopsies, freehand prostate biopsy under sedation or local anaesthesia, targeted and MRI-Ultrasound fusion prostate biopsies. Oussama practises using an efficient “one-stop/single visit” diagnostic model in the investigation of urological complaints. Oussama also provides a prostate brachytherapy service alongside radiation oncology colleagues - another minimally invasive treatment option for localised prostate cancer. For patients undergoing radiotherapy treatment of the prostate, Oussama provides insertion of the fiducial markers into the prostate and pre-rectal insertion of hydrogel spacer (SpaceOAR). Oussama has a special interest and a state of the art training in the treatment of benign prostate conditions using prostate artery embolization, Urolift, transurethral resection of the prostate, REZUM, Aquablation, and holmium laser enucleation for the greatly enlarged prostate.
