As a fully trained ophthalmic (eye) surgeon with over 16years of experience as a consultant I continuously update my knowledge and experience so that my patients benefit from the highest standards of care. I obtained my medical degree at St George's Hospital Medical School, London. My higher surgical training in ophthalmology was completed in London, including attachments at St George's Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital, acquiring extensive clinical and surgical experience in the management of all types of ophthalmic disorders. I did two years advanced sub-specialty training in the medical and surgical management of vitreous, retinal, and macular disorders. This was carried out at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Melbourne, Australia, and at the Oxford Eye Hospital, England. I am presently a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Southend and Orsett Hospitals providing a general ophthalmic and cataract service and a specialist service in all aspects of retinal disease. As a Consultant ophthalmologist, at MSE Southend Hospital NHS Trust for over 21 years, I continue with my colleagues to innovate and modernise the way Ophthalmology is delivered in our region in the best interest of our patients.
