Mr Michael Fox

Mr Mikel Fox trained at University College and Middlesex School of Medicine, graduating in 1996. He specialised in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery on the Stanmore Specialist Training Rotation before sub-specialising in Peripheral Nerve Injury and completing Fellowships in France, Austria and in the USA.  Mr Fox was appointed to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital as a consultant Peripheral Nerve Surgeon in October of 2008. Currently Clinical Lead of the department, Mr Fox has also held positions as Director of Medical Education and College Tutor and set up the Simulation Centre at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. His academic interests are in clinical outcomes in patients with nerve injury. Mr Fox is proud to have trained many of the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons and is also proud of his work at Headley Court, treating injured servicemen. He also enjoys working with professional sports clubs, treating patients with nerve injury. Having previously managed a grassroots football team, Mike now spends his time away from surgery driving his children to play football at a far better standard than he ever did! He also enjoys skiing, running and cycling.
