GMC reg: 6064334Mr Mark Ferguson is a highly skilled and experienced Rhinologist, Facial Plastic and Anterior Skull Base Surgeon. He is the head of the ENT department at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He is co-founder of the Imperial Facial Reconstruction Unit, as well as the “get it right first time” (GIRFT) lead for ENT in North West London. He is a member of the pan-London clinical leadership group (CLG) for ENT and an expert witness to the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE). Additionally to these responsibilities he serves on the membership committee for the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS) and he is an invited international speaker in the area of Facial Plastic surgery. He graduated from Imperial College and completed his Specialist ENT training in London. After completing his training he won the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons post-CCT fellowship in Rhinology at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Mr Ferguson completed his PhD in Molecular Oncology at Barts Cancer Institute and continues to play an active role both in translational and clinical research. He has published more than 30 peer reviewed publications, 2 book chapters and given more than 30 international or national presentations. He has won numerous prizes for his work. Mr Ferguson has a specialist interest in Rhinology, sinus surgery (including balloon sinuplasty) and both functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty.
