Mr John Bolton

I am a urological surgeon with subspecialty interests in 'functional' urology: female and reconstructive surgery, as well as treatments for erectile dysfunction and incontinence. Thus, I accept referrals for women with primary and complex continence problems, to discuss surgical and non-surgical treatments, as well as men with general urological, prostatic, and andrological complaints (erectile dysfunction, penile problems, etc.). I am a core member of the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS FT pelvic floor multi-disciplinary team, comprising of colleagues from urology, colo-rectal surgery, uro-gynaecology, radiology, physiotherapy, and continence services. As part of my reconstructive urological surgical practice, I deliver the ambulatory- and video-urodynamic assessment services for the region. As the Operations Medical Director, I am actively involved in hospital management. I support and coordinate Clinical Directors to achieve operational and financial targets and ensuring care quality is maintained, while facilitating the organisational changes needed to achieve all this. Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my three boys, cooking, wine, golf and sailing - not all at the same time!
