For over 25 years, as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in various roles and hospitals, I strived to play a pivotal role in shaping the quality and the future of women's healthcare in Greater Manchester and beyond. Currently, I am Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist for the Northern Care Alliance in Greater Manchester. I have carried out thousands of procedures, improving the quality of life, health and every-day comfort to women sometimes facing complex medical conditions, high-risk factors, or obstetric and gynaecological complications. My work involves medical examination, diagnosis and management of care, ensuring the well-being and access to the highest standards of care and treatments. But above all I am a husband and a father, and I relate to my patients in a personal, caring manner, to ensure the comfort and clarity throughout the whole patient journey. Over the years I thoroughly enjoyed providing leadership within multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the highest standards of care for women and maintaining of excellence in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Some of my roles include: the Lead gynaecologist in Greater Manchester Clinical Assessment and Treatment Centres (CATS), Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and the Lead Consultant for Gynaecological Oncology and Coloscopy services and a member of the endometriosis centre team at the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, the Lead for gynaecological oncology at Rochdale Infirmary. For many years, I led Rochdale’s NHS colposcopic services reviewing cases with abnormal cervical smear findings. My deep commitment to excellence and innovation led me to gaining great experience in undertaking major abdominal, vaginal, and laparoscopic surgery, as well as cosmetic gynaecological procedures. I am especially interested in colposcopy, gynaecological oncology, and minimal access surgery, but I specialise also in labiaplasty, vaginoplasty and vaginal prolapse procedures as well as treatment for ovarian cysts, heavy menstrual loss and pelvic pain. My other skills and expertise include a number of gynaecological subspecialties, such as female sterilisation reversal, oophorectomy, and menopause. In my private practice I see my patients face-to-face, via telephone or e-consultations, for gynaecological reviews and interventions at different private organisations in Cheadle, Rochdale, Salford, and Wythenshawe (The Alexandra Hospital, The Highfield Hospital, the Oaklands Hospital, and The Pines Hospital and more).
