I'm a substantive Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Leighton Hospital and have a private practice based at the Spire Cheshire Hospital. I have a broad knee practice, including the management of knee ligament injuries and arthritis (including early onset), alongside a busy hip practice. My philosophy is to be able to offer a wide range of surgical and non-surgical options to provide his patients with an informed choice and a personalised management plan. I have particular interests in keyhole ACL reconstruction, partial (uni-compartmental) knee replacement, high tibial osteotomy, total knee replacement and both cemented and un-cemented hip replacement. After qualifying in London, I started at St Thomas’ Hospital before posts in Leicester, Derby and Nottingham led to higher orthopaedic training in the East Midlands. I then progressed to become a Senior Registrar in the Mersey area and at Wrightington Orthopaedic Hospital, before undertaking further fellowship training in York. I have also undertaken a travelling fellowship in the USA with the renowned orthopaedic surgeon, Leo Whiteside. I'm committed to participation in national surgical registries, collection of patient reported outcome measures (PROMS) and multi-disciplinary audit.
