Mr George Spyrou

Mr George Spyrou is a Senior Consultant  Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon with many years of consolidated experience. He completed his basic surgical training in Exeter and the Midlands and his higher surgical training in the Yorkshire region as an SPR.  During his higher surgical training he developed a special interest in breast surgery very early on in his career, being the first plastic surgery trainee in 2002 to ever successfully complete a breast oncoplastic fellowship. While in post he underwent comprehensive cross specialty training in all aspects of excisional, reconstructive, corrective and aesthetic breast surgery. In addition he gained further sub-specialist experience in cosmetic surgery with emphasis given to breast surgery facial aesthetics and rhinoplasty procedures by successfully completing the prestigious Aesthetic Fellowship at the Humana Wellington Hospital in London in 2004. These two fellowships have given Mr Spyrou an outstanding foundation in all aspects of Aesthetic surgery including Breast, Facial, Rhinoplasty and Body contouring Surgery. Mr Spyrou holds a substantive NHS consultant appointment at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield and is on the UK Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery since 2005. In the private sector, he has admitting rights at Methley Park Hospital in Leeds and at the Kinvara hospital in South Yorkshire.  He undertakes all aspects of cosmetic surgery and the main bulk of his work is breast aesthetic surgery eyelid and rhinoplasty procedures.  He is recognised by the General Medical Council as a named clinical and educational supervisor overseeing and teaching  junior doctors during their training.  He is up to date with his general medical education, especially with the latest techniques in cosmetic breast surgery and Rhinoplasty by regularly attending courses, meetings and seminars in the UK, Europe and USA.
