GMC reg: 5203349Mr Azar Khunda is a leading London consultant gynaecologist and urogynaecologist. He has a wide range of expertise in general gynaecology, and has been a consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas’ since 2014. Azar obtained a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in obstetrics and gynaecology in April 2010. In 2011, he went on to complete a fellowship in Australia which complemented his general training in urogynaecology, and introduced him to the application of imaging in urogynaecology. In 2013, Azar completed the subspecialty training programme in urogynaecology at University College London Hospital. This post provided him with the experience of advanced laparoscopic surgery and its application in urogynaecology. He began working as a locum consultant urogynaecologist at St George’s hospital in 2013 which allowed him to successfully and safely introduce laparoscopic urogynaecology there. Special interests Azar’s areas of expertise include pelvic organ prolapse, stress incontinence, urge incontinence, painful bladder syndrome, urinary tract infections, post-partum pelvic floor dysfunction. He also provides the whole range of surgical procedures for managing pelvic floor conditions.
