Mr David Cumming

Mr Cumming is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic spinal surgeon with fourteen years’ experience as a consultant in Ipswich Hospital, East Suffolk & North Essex NHS trust.. During his time as a consultant, he has worked with NHS England to develop best practice in spinal surgery across the country. He is the National Clinical Director for Neurosurgery & Spinal Services for NHSE. He is the immediate Past President for the British Association of Spinal Surgeons and has been involved with the society in developing guidelines and organising national meetings. In clinical practice, he is involved in treating adult spinal conditions affecting the cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions. He regularly performs spinal surgery on all areas of the spine for acute, degenerative and traumatic conditions. His Independent Practice is based at Cleveland Clinic London.
