I am a full-time Consultant ENT surgeon in the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. I studied medicine as an undergraduate in Queen's University, Belfast and did my higher specialist registrar training in London, rotating through Great Ormond Street, Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals. My higher surgical training involved Fellowships in New Zealand, New York and Paris. I subsequently was appointed as a full-time NHS Consultant in Canterbury, Kent, where I worked for nearly 10 years before returning home to Northern Ireland in 2014 with my family and taking up my current post as Consultant ENT in the Royal Victoria Hospital.

Special clinical interests
I treat both adult and paediatric patients and am fully trained in all aspects of ENT sub-specialising in Head & Neck, thyroid, salivary gland ( parotid & submandibular), upper airway and voice surgery. I also undertake minimally invasive thyroid surgery and have designed and run master-cIasses on the surgical technique required. I also have run sub-specialist voice and also Botox clinics for more than 20 years treating both voice and swallowing disorders.
