Mr Alexander Day

Mr Alexander Day,  MB BS (Distinction), BSc (1st Class Hons), PhD, FRCOphth, MRCOphth, DRCOphth, CertLRS, PgDipCRS (Distinction). Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, Moorfields Eye Hospital. Mr Alex Day specialises in laser vision correction and cataract/ lens surgery. He is on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register, is a Fellow of the UK Royal College of Ophthalmologists, and holds the RCOphth CertLRS examination. Alex completed his Higher Surgical Training at Moorfields and in addition to completing a PhD at University College London, he later became an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer; and then fellow (sub-specialist surgical training) in cataract, glaucoma and corneal transplant surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital. Alex is an invited examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists CertLRS examination.

Laser vision correction: LASIK, wavefront guided LASIK and PRK/ transPRK. Premium cataract surgery and refractive lens exchange (RLE); using femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery (FLACS) and premium/ advanced intraocular lens (IOLs) including enhanced depth of focus (EDoF) and multifocal lens. Phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK) for the treatment of recurrent corneal erosions and corneal basement membrane dystrophy. Corneal collagen crosslinking for keratoconus and corneal ecstasias.
