Mr Mark Forster

I have been a consultant orthopaedic surgeon since 2007. I am a specialist knee surgeon and have particular expertise in knee replacement, ligament reconstruction, patellofemoral disorders and adolescent knee problems.  As a specialist knee surgeon, I treat all aspects of knee surgery and perform over 300 knee operations per year. My specific interests include arthroscopic surgery, ligament reconstruction, primary and revision knee replacement, patella disorders, osteotomy, adolescent knee problems and treatment of knee arthritis in young and active patients.  I was the lead knee clinician for the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board between March 2012 and December 2020. I am an Honorary clinical teacher at Cardiff University.  I enjoy travelling to unusual places off the beaten track and have been fortunate to travel to many amazing places around the world. I love the great outdoors and spending time walking up hills or along the beach. I enjoy good food and good company. I am a keen football fan. I am married with one son.
