GMC reg: 4090760Professor Manjit Matharu is a Professor of Neurology at UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, Visiting Professor of Neurology at the Department of Neuromedicine and Movement sciences, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway and Honorary Consultant Neurologist at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London, UK. He is the Clinical and Academic Lead of the Headache and Facial Pain Group at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, respectively. His major research interests include migraine, trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias, neurostimulation for intractable headaches, spontaneous intracranial hypotension and headache disorders in hypermobility syndromes. He has authored numerous scientific papers. Professor Matharu is a Core Team Member of the International Headache Society (IHS) Regional Outreach Programme, President of the Medical Advisory Board of the CSF Leak Association and Chairperson of the UK CSF Leak Special Interest group. He was a member of the guideline development group for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines on Headache disorders.
