GMC reg: 6149378I am a Paediatric Cardiologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) who specialises in inherited and paediatric arrhythmias as well as congenital heart disease. I work in the uniquely dedicated Centre for Inherited Cardiovascular Diseases at GOSH, where we care for children with inherited arrhythmias (ion channel diseases and arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathies), hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and aortopathies, as well as rare diseases with cardiac manifestations. I have undertaken a formal training programme in Paediatric Cardiology, which I completed in 2016. I trained at Great Ormond Street Hospital and The Royal Brompton Hospital, where I undertook subspecialist training in Paediatric Electrophysiology and inherited arrhythmias. I have been employed as a full-time consultant in Paediatric Cardiology and Inherited Cardiovascular Diseases at GOSH since October 2016. Since 2019, I have been the lead for inherited arrhythmias at GOSH, where I conduct a weekly all-day inherited arrhythmia clinic as well as twice-monthly clinics to screen children whose families have been affected by sudden arrhythmic death syndrome (SADS). In addition, I have established a new first-of-it's-kind neurocardiac channelopathies clinic where we screen children with genetic epilepsies who may also be at risk of arrhythmia. As part of my role as lead for inherited arrhythmias, I perform diagnostic pharmacological provocation (including Ajmaline provocation) studies on children, whilst I am also the lead for the left cardiac sympathetic denervation (LCSD) service - a surgical procedure for patients with complex inherited arrhythmias that we perform thoracoscopically ('keyhole' technique) here at GOSH for children of all ages, including infants. Aside from by work in inherited cardiovascular disease, I look after a large population of children with congenital heart disease via my weekly clinic at GOSH and through visiting outreach clinics to several hospitals in London and East Anglia. I partake fully in the Cardiology Consultant on-call rota at GOSH, which includes the out-of-hours (and weekend) care of all cardiac inpatients on the ward and our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
