Ms Lucy Hicklin

I trained at The Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead North London (part of London University) and qualified in 1988. After house jobs in London and Surrey I went on to surgical training in London and the South East specialising in ENT from very early on. I was appointed as a consultant at St Georges and Croydon University Hospital with a special interest in Voice, Rhinology and Snoring in 2002. Over the years I have developed Voice and Snoring services for the St Georges group with a particular interest in Neurological conditions affecting the Larynx and Swallowing. As a result I have developed expertise in the use of Botulinim Toxin as a treatment for spasmodic conditions in the head and neck which may cause problems with the voice, swallowing or breathing. I lecture widely on this subject and often host visiting medical teams from the UK, Europe and beyond to share knowledge and practical techniques. I continue to treat patients with sinus and other nasal problems and also provides a service for the diagnosis and potential treatments for patients who snore. In the last few years I have become one of the few people in the uk dealing with a condition called RCPD where people are unable to burp.
