GMC reg: 6055873Kyle graduated from Guy’s, Kings and St.Thomas’ Medical Schools in 2002 completing his orthopaedic training in London and has completed two fellowships in Paediatric Orthopaedics at Beit Cure International Hospital, Malawi and at the Children’s Hospital, Westmead, Sydney, Australia. Kyle began as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal London Hospital in 2013 working for 2 years. He then moved to Malawi to work as an orthopaedic surgeon and served as Medical Director at Beit Cure International Hospital for 4 years before he returned to UK and was appointed to his current post of Children’s and Adult Orthopaedic Consultant at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton His practice covers all aspects of paediatric orthopaedic surgery as well as delivering an adult and children’s on-call trauma service in a major trauma centre. His expertise extends to the treatment of the following conditions: hip dysplasia, developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), slipped upper femoral epiphysis (SUFE), deformity correction and limb reconstruction, Perthes disease, guided growth surgery, neuromuscular disorders, cerebral palsy, children’s foot and ankle conditions, clubfoot (CTEV), bone and joint infection, cavovarus foot deformity, flat feet. Kyle strongly believes in ensuring all treatment options, both non-operative treatment and operative are carefully evaluated and always takes great care to explain to both the child and their parents, that orthopaedic treatment does not automatically mean having an operation. At the initial consultation, Kyle will carefully assess the causes and symptoms of each child’s condition before recommending a tailored treatment plan, fully involving parents in all aspects of decision making to deliver the most effective treatment for their child. Outside work, Kyle is passionate about adult and children trauma and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer on the Orthopaedic Trauma Sciences programme at Queen Mary University of London since 2014.
