Dr Kristel Longman

Dr Kristel Longman is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Western Sussex NHS Trust. She is predominantly based at St Richards Hospital, Chichester. Dr Longman completed medical training at St George's Medical School, part of the University of London. She undertook almost ten years of post graduate specialty training within the Wessex region, training in Interventional Cardiology fellowships at University Hospital Southampton Cardiothoracic centre and also at The Royal Bournemouth Hospital in Dorset. Dr Longman is a General Cardiologist and provides General Cardiology outpatient appointments in addition to performing invasive Cardiology procedures including angiogram and coronary angioplasty and stenting with intravascular image guidance to achieve optimised stent results. This work includes elective and emergency work including participating in The National Heart attack primary angioplasty service. Dr Longman has participated in several large UK research trials including those involving GLP-1 medications and therapies to improve cardiovascular health including lipoprotein a research. She has a special interest in pressure wire assessment of coronary arteries and intravascular imaging including ultrasound and OCT. She has additional certification in Exercise physiology and ageing from Stanford University providing advice in ageing and longevity in the context of cardiovascular and holistic health.

All aspects of general cardiology with a sub specialty of coronary intervention. This includes intravascular imaging and pressure wire assessment, rotational atherectomy and coronary lithotripsy. Exercise physiology and ageing Cardiovascular longevity, prevention, and risk reduction.
