Mr Kavan Johal

Mr Kavan Johal is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon, based in London and Essex, offering both cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. His private practice is based at Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital and HCA London Hospitals (London Bridge Hospital, The Harley Street Clinic and The Princess Grace Hospital). He is also a substantive NHS consultant at the world-renowned St Andrew’s Centre for Plastic Surgery.   Having graduated with first class honours from the University of Nottingham in 2009, Mr Johal undertook his plastic surgery training in leading teaching hospitals in London, together with advanced fellowships in aesthetic surgery (Wellington Hospital), microsurgery and lymphoedema (Taiwan and Korea) supported by awards from the Royal College of Surgeons and BAPRAS.   His current NHS and private practice includes all aspects of breast surgery particularly reconstruction with microsurgical free flaps (DIEP, TUG etc) and implants, breast reduction, correction of breast asymmetry (including congenital), complex revisional cases and gynaecomastia. He also sees and treats patients with benign skin lesions and skin cancers, together with other general plastic surgery problems.   Having been formally trained in aesthetic surgery Mr Johal routinely performs all aspects of breast, face and body contouring. This includes breast augmentation, reduction, mastopexy, abdominoplasty, arm/thigh reduction, face/neck lift and eyelid surgery.   Mr Johal is passionate about teaching, training and innovation, at a local and national level. He has a postgraduate higher degree which was funded by BAAPS and the Healing Foundation. He has published extensively in leading scientific journals, including several book chapters and presents regularly at international meetings.
