I qualified as a doctor in 1983 and have worked exclusively in trauma and orthopaedics since 1989. I am a member of the British Orthopaedic Association. I have had many roles within my NHS career including Clinical Director for Orthopaedics and lead for musculoskeletal services. Prior to retiring from NHS practice I chaired the local GIRFT (Getting It Right First Time) lower limb arthroplasty group and contributed significantly to the Orthopaedic part of the merger of three Trusts in Essex. My main interests are all types of knee surgery as well as hip replacement surgery. Given the wide training I had in Orthopaedics I am confident in providing an opinion for adult and children spinal conditions. Outside work I enjoy golf, motorcycling bell-ringing and woodwork.
