www.minasgynaecology.com Mr Vasileios Minas is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Lead of the Runnymede Endometriosis Centre, one of the view BSGE-accredited Centres of Excellence for the management of Advanced Endometriosis in the private sector in the UK. He is Co-Director at CEMIG, the Centre for Endometriosis and Minimally Invasive Gynaecology at Ashford & St. Peter’s Hospital, where he holds his NHS appointment. CEMIG is one of the largest and most renowned Endometriosis Centres in the UK. Mr Minas treats several gynaecological conditions including heavy or abnormal bleeding, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, and conditions which cause pelvic pain and painful intercourse, including endometriosis, adenomyosis and adhesions. He trained in Oxford Deanery for 5 years, where he completed his core training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. In 2012, he was awarded one of the five nationally appointed posts in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery for Endometriosis. He moved to the Wirral University Hospital, one of the largest Endometriosis Centres of the English North to complete his advanced training and specialisation in the management of endometriosis, pelvic pain and ultrasound scanning. Mr Minas offers a holistic approach to his patients, taking into account the effect of their condition on their overall quality of personal and professional lives and family plans. He uses both medical and minimally invasive surgical methods to provide patient-tailored and evidence-based treatments. He has a keen interest in training and academia. He has published his extensive academic work in several high-impact international journals. He has received a number of awards and scholarships for his clinical and academic work. He is College Tutor for the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and he oversees the training of Obstetrics & Gynaecology trainees at Ashford & St. Peter’s Hospital, where he holds his substantive NHS appointment.
