GMC reg: 3565892Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine at the Oxford University Hospitals Trust. For four years until November 2013 he was clinical lead for the Oxford Pain Relief Unit, now the majority of his non clinical work is for the Royal College of Anaesthetists' Faculty of Pain Medicine where he sits on the board, is Chair of the UK Regional Advisors in Pain Medicine with the aim of raising the profile and further developing pain medicine training. He is also a member of the Pain Faculty's Training and Assessment Committee and Royal College Workforce Lead for Pain. Research: Dr Cole's MSc dissertation was based on research into efficacy and respiratory effects of systemic and spinal opioids, he is Editorial board member for the Cochrane Pain and Palliative Support Group (PAPAS). He an author on many systemic reviews on antineuropathic (antidepressant and antiepileptic) drugs for pain conditions.
